Domestic Workers (DWs) work includes tasks such as cleaning the house, cooking, washing and ironing clothes, taking care of children, or elderly or sick members of a family, gardening, guarding the house, driving for the family, and taking care of household pets. Thus on the basis of this definition, domestic workers in Kenya include: Nannies, Caretakers, Cooks, Gardeners, Cleaners, Drivers, and Security Officers among others. Current statistics show that Kenya has about two million (2,000,000) domestic workers.
